There was a sea, that I have loved

     I  used to taste its saltiness;

     see its invincible waves;

     and feel its fascinating fullness.

One scalding afternoon at the the shore,

     I felt somebody staring at me from afar,

     I thought it was some kind of menace

     but to my surprise, what I saw is her face.

Long jet black hair, and the bluest scales

     Her voice, was a thousand times better

     than any other harmonies I’ve heard

     Her presence is the greatest gift to my soul

But then even angels couldn’t escape death

     the sea whispers promises to me

     I’ve been trapped here for all of my life

     Waiting for your comeback, my dear. ©
